Q.1 What are the different courses offered by the University?

A. To check the different programmes offered by the University, kindly visit the Programmes Offered section.

Q.2 What is the admission procedure?

A. To take an admission into any program, the students will have to purchase the prospectus, fill up the admission form contained within, and submit the same at that particular Study Centre, where the student wants to pursue his studies.

Q.3 Where can we get the prospectus from?

A. The prospectus can be purchased from the nearest Study centre or from the University Collaborator, Mumbai at a cost of Rs.300/- at counter and Rs.350/- by registered post.

Q.4 Where would be the classes held and what would be the duration of the classes?

A. From University's side a contact program of 200 hours per semester will be provided including the theory and practical sessions. The classes provided by the University will be held at the Study centre, which the student can choose according to his/her convenience. The schedule of the classes may differ at each Study centre, and the student can get it from the chosen Study centre.

Q.5 Is it necessary to take one or the other Study centre?

A. Yes, it is necessary to pursue the studies of all the programmes through any one of the Study centres across the country as all the assignments, theory and practical counseling will be held at those Study centres.

Q.7 What would be the mode of payment of the semester fee?

A. The fees will be paid in any form either DD/Cheque in favour at the Study Centre where the students want to enroll for the course.

Q.8 Where do we get the study material?

A. All the study material provided by the University will be given at the designated / chosen Study centre.

Q.9 Do I have to submit the original certificates for verification?

A. As per the University norms, the original certificates of all the students enrolled in the University should be submitted along with the University application and eligibility form.

Q.10 Where will be the examinations conducted?

A. The examination centres will be allotted in the nearest city of your Study centre depending on the number of the students, which will be intimated to the students before the commencement of the examination.

Q.11 What will happen after I have registered for a Distance Education programme and also submitted my course fee?

A. After successful registration, you will receive a confirmation from your Study Centre along with your study material.

Q.12 Is the entire course material available at one time?

A. No, only semester-wise course material will be made available in three volumes.

Q.13 Do I need to refer the books in addition to course material provided by the University?

A. The course material given to you will cover the course topics in sufficient detail. However, we also suggest certain reference books that you read in order to get an in-depth knowledge on the topics covered.

Q.14 Do I need to give any Entrance or Screening Test for taking admission to programmes?

A. No. There is no Entrance or Screening Test. All those who fulfill the eligibility criteria can enroll themselves for the desired programme.

Q.15 At what point of the year can I take admission to a programme?

A. The admission to all the programmes shall take place twice in a year June and December. Consequently, your semester would spread over 6 months from the month of commencement of the session. Needless to say, end semester exams too would be scheduled two times in a year.

Q.16 I have appeared in the qualifying examination prescribed by you but my final result is awaited. Can I take admission in a programme?

A. Yes. You can get enrolled for a programme subject to the conditions that the result be submitted to the University before the first exam. The admission in such case shall be provisional & shall automatically stand cancelled if you fail to clear the aforesaid qualifying examination with the prescribed percentage. You have to produce a certificate to the same effect from the head of the institution last attended.

Q.17 what is Distance Learning?

A. Learning refers to teaching and learning situations in which the instructor and the learner or learners are geographically separated and therefore rely on the other modes of instructional delivery.

Q.20 Is the MBA and the other Programs recognized by UGC / AICTE?

A. Shiksha Foundation is a non-university institution. All programs of Shiksha Foundation are come under preview of UGC/DEC/MHRD AICTE. In the changing economic environment what matters most is the recognition by the employers. The MBA Program is highly appreciated and valued by blue-chip employers, as it is a uniquely designed program in Management, comprehensively covering all the functional areas of management in great depth. In today’s buyer market these professional will have good prospects in Indian companies and also in MNCs operating in India. All courses are autonomous.

Q.21 Is the study material supplied by the institute?

A. The study material is supplied by the institute without any additional cost, subject to the receipt of fees as per the payment schedule.

Q.22 How do students receive their study material? Do they have to pay extra charges other then the fees paid?

A. Study Material is dispatched to the student within 45 working days from the date of admission at the correspondence address mentioned in the application form. No extra charges are payable by the student.

Q.23 When the examinations held and what are the modes of exam?

A. The examinations are held 4 times in a year.

Q.24 What I will do if I fail in any of the subject?

A. In such a case, you are to be re-examined for the subject in which you have failed. A re-examination fee @ Rs. 500/- per subject is required to be paid by you.

Q.25 Do you provide a degree or a diploma?

A. 1)Management programs are professional courses and the question of a degree does not arise.

2) We have courses from Diploma to Executive Masters level and we provide you with the certificates.

3) The degrees can only be offered by the universities and since we are a self financed autonomous body; we can provide you with a certificate.

Q.26 After submitting my papers, in how many days would the results be declared and when will I get the certificates?

A. After submitting your papers, you shall receive your certificates in 45 to 60 working days.

Q.27 You said I can give my exams sitting at home. Doesn't that mean I can cheat and write my papers?

A. The question papers that we send to you are in the form of live and practical case studies and not the direct theoretical questions where you can open the book and copy. In case studies you have to present yourself in a given situation. MBA is an application based program where our aim is to make sure that you handle the situations in your professional life. Even IIM's, IIT's have started this unique examination style called Open Book Test system.

Q.28 What is certification? How is it helpful to me?

A. Certification means we are allowed to use the logo of a particular body (whom we are accredited to) on our certificates. That mean these bodies have certified that we meet their standards of quality and hence they certify the validity of these certificates. Wisdom is an 'ISO 9001:2008' Certified International B-School.

Q.29 Where does your faculty come from?

A. We have common panel of faculties for our correspondence courses who are expertise in their streams and are working as a full time lecturer/Professors in reputed colleges & universities.

Q.30 What are the fees payment criteria?

A. Fees can be deposited in installments or upfront as per the convenience.

Q.31 Do you provide University Courses?

A. Yes, we do provide university courses from Polytechnic Diploma & Graduation to Doctorate from various universities.

Q.33 How can a person verify the UGC recognition of any University?

A. Log onto http://www.ugc.ac.in and go to the option inside HE option select (central/ state/ private/deemed etc.) university as per the university status and then select state check the university list.

Q.34 Do I need to go to the University Admission and examination?

A. No admission and examination will be held at our center, you need not to go to university for anything except Ph.D.

Q.35 Do you provide regular courses as well?

A. We do provide some regular courses with the association of few regular colleges
